Flowers are white with ish tints and give way to small round red berries in autumn. Sandanqua viburnum is an shrub that is great for hedges and screening in warmer zones. This southern Japanese is tremendously versatile. It tolerates both moderate drought and wet soils in full sun and part shade exposures. It has a dense, upright growth habit with dark green leaves. It does flower with pale clusters, but may have a fragrance some find disagreeable. For best growth as a dense screen or hedge, plant Sandanqua viburnum in full sun in a moist, well drained soil. Its growth will be fast. It tolerates conditions near building .
