Motorola's line of Talkabout two-way radios are great for personal communication and outdoor events. They are well built and durable, but some battery types are heavier than others. They do need to be set up on the same channel and privacy codes, but they are a comfortable weight and can be used in a variety of situations. Store and on-line prices are a bit inflated, but they are a great value for the money.
