Description
Bellflower Blue grows as a perennial in USDA Zones: 3 - 8 and prefers full sun over partial shade. Campanula Carpatica is rhizomatous and grows to a height of 8 inches with sky blue blooms from summer to fall. These low-growing flowers are a wonderful ground cover for edging borders, rock gardens, or as a container plant. Sow these heirloom seeds at 3 - 4 seeds per plant or approximately 5000 seeds covers 100 square feet. Keep moist until germination occurs in 14 - 28 days. If starting indoors, use a seed-starting mix and bottom water so mold won't form on the mix. Does not tolerate foot traffic. Leaves are oval to triangular, 2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide, light green, and excellent for highlighting darker-foliaged plants. To facilitate additional blooming the flowers need to be deadheaded. Bellflower flower seed are low-growing, rhizomatous flowers which make good general use ground covers for edging, rock gardens or as a container planting and its deep green foliage is an ideal backdrop for these gorgeous sky blue flowers. To facilitate additional blooming the flowers need to be deadheaded. Bellflower flower seed requires light to germinate, so don't cover with soil. Instead, lightly press the seeds into the soil to ensure good contact and keep moist until germination. If starting indoors, use a seed-starting mix and bottom water so mold won't form on the mix.
