Outsidepride 1/4 lb. Perennial Mirabilis Jalapa Four O' Clock White Flower Seeds for Planting

Users say:
Outside Pride Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass is a great grass seed that takes a while to germinate and grow. It is resistant to pet urine and requires frequent watering to maintain its health. However, it is not as resistant to pet urine as the original Zoysia, and may require an automatic watering system to break out the roots.

Description

Mirabilis jalapa, or commonly known as Four OClock, is a tender perennial that produces an abundance of flowers all summer long. The plants can reach 18 - 36 inches in height and the same in width. This four O'Clock variety is an 18 - 36 vining plant which can grow as a perennial in USDA zones 8 - 10. The trumpet-shaped flowers are white and can be in clusters or single blooms, and they have a vanilla scent attracting hummingbirds. On sunny days, the flowers open in the late afternoon and wilt by the next morning. Bloom after bloom is produced all summer long to create a lovely white display. Sowing Rate: 1 pound per 1,000 square feet or 2 seeds per plant. Start Four OClock seed indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last expected frost date. Press the seed into soil, cover it with ¼ inch of soil and keep the seed moist. With a temperature range of 65 - 75F, germination is usually in 14 days. Grow Four OClock in full sun to partial shade. It prefers well-drained soil, and it is usually deer resistant. Space plants 12 - 24 inches apart. In areas with long growing season, Four OClock can be directly started outdoors after danger of frost has passed. They have large, carrot-shaped tubers that can be divided in the spring. Caution: do not eat the seeds; they are poisonous. Mirabilis jalapa, or commonly known as Four OClock, is a tender perennial that produces an abundance of flowers all summer long.
