Even without flowers it makes a lovely addition to the garden, with glossy, deep-green smooth leaves densely covering the plant. It is not for that, however, that it is grown, but for the beautiful, pure-white flowers that cover it from June to October. This have the rich, exotic scent that has made the gardenia a loved plant in America for 250 years. What makes this particular gardenia so special is its hardiness. It will survive even when the temperature falls to zero degrees - much more hardy than any other gardenia available. This means it can be grown in zone 7, a full zone colder than other gardenias. Grow it in your flower beds, turn it into a low hedge, or have it in pots to move around, so that you can always enjoy its rich perfume. No matter how you grow it, you will love this beautiful plant for its perfume and for its hardiness, allowing northern gardeners to enjoy a plant once only available to those in the south. - The hardiest true gardenia available - Rich perfume fills the air - Beautiful single white flowers - Rich-green glossy evergreen foliage - In bloom from June to October Plant Kleims Hardy Gardenia where it will be partially shaded, or have sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon.
