Waxleaf Privet forms a handsome upright shrub, growing to about 8 feet tall and 5 feet across. It is naturally dense, but it can be easily clipped or trimmed into a formal shape or into a hedge. The smooth, oval leaves are a deep rich-green color and they have a shiny surface, giving this plant its common name. The leaves are 2 to 4 inches long and up to 2 inches wide, with a narrow tip. Every spring your bush will be covered with large cones of pure-white flowers, creating a lovely show.
