The replica of the famous ship from Patrick O Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series and the film Master and Commander: Far Side of the World with Russel Crowe, this decorative wood boat is built from scratch by master artisans using high quality woods such as cherry, birch, maple and rosewood. It features gun ports actually cut into the hull, authentic scale lifeboat, four flags atop three masts and rear sail of model ship among other amazing details. The taut rigging with varied thread gauge and color adds to its charm while heavy canvas sails hold shape without wrinkling. A wooden base prominently displays "HMS Surprise".
