The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board. PL-3 Wiring Connection This Light Guide light has a standard 3-prong plug as pictured above. A 3-prong pigtail (A45PB or A47PB - sold separately) is required to connect this light to your vehicle or trailer. You will also need a rubber grommet (A70GB - sold separately) to install your tail light. An optional mounting bracket is also available (BK70BB - sold separately) to make it easier to mount the light on your trailer. Recessed-Mount Light Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a housing or a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.
