The B&W Patriot Series 5th Wheel Hitch is a lighter weight, less expensive, rail-mounted alternative to the Companion. It has many of the same great features as its big brother and will give you the smoothest ride on the road, but for a lesser price. The Patriot 16K has a GTW of 16,000 lbs. and a tongue weight rating of 4,000 lbs. The Patriot 18K has a GTW of 18,000 lbs. and a tongue rating of 4,500lbs. The Patriot 18K also has a slider model that provides 12" of slide for maneuvering a short bed truck. The Patriot mounts to your bed with vehicle specific custom rails which must be purchased separately. The B&W Patriot Series 5th wheel hitch has a fully articulating head that allows front to back and side to side pivoting. There are three height adjustments from 16"-19" and 4" of front-to-back adjustment for the non-sliding models.
