Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height 5 - 6 FeetMature Spread 5 - 6 FeetGrowing Zones 2 - 8Ninebark is a native shrub that has all of the attributes to make a show stealer in your garden. Amazing foliage color early in the spring and then again in the fall. Beautiful clusters of pale pink flowers in the spring that attract pollinators by the score. A dense growing habit that is the perfect shelter for wildlife in the garden. The most amazing exfoliating bark that begins to turn different colors as it ages. Amber Jubilee™ Ninebark has all of these qualities and it was also developed in Canada to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.Ninebark is native to most of North America and is an important species for wildlife. These deciduous shrubs support all kinds of pollinators and give shelter during the summer to nesting birds. The dense shrub makes for a great informal and low maintenance hedge. The changing colors of the leaves will add interest to an established garden bed.Amber Jubilee™ Ninebark CareNinebarks are extremely low maintenance and fit in many types of garden plans from Woodland to Cottage Garden. They will have the most intense color when grown in full sun, but will thrive in part shade as well. An average soil texture with almost any pH will suit this shrub fine. Well drained, but moist soil is needed for nInebark to get off to a flying start. After this shrub has established well it will tolerate periods of drought and typically not need much extra irrigation.Pruning this compact grower is not needed annually. The fluffy flowers turn into a lovely red seed head that birds like to eat during the winter. A quick once over for dead, diseased or diagonal branches should be done in the spring before the leaves emerge. Fertilization is not needed. Mulching in the fall with an organic compost or leaves will help to naturally bulk up the soil with organic matter and provide the slow release food Ninebark prefers.Amber Jubilee™ Ninebark SpacingAmber Jubilee™ is a much more compact growing NInebark. The height is 5-6 feet and the width is 4-5 feet. It can be planted as a hedge at a spacing of 4 feet on center. If planting as a large group the spacing is recommended at 5 feet on center.Amber Jubilee™ Ninebark InformationUSDA Hardiness Zones: 2 - 8Plant Type: Light Exposure: Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height: 5 - 6 FeetMature Spread: 4 - 5 FeetSpacing: 4 - 5 FeetHabit: Mounded, UprightFlower Color(s): WhiteFlower Description: Bloom Period: SpringFoliage Type: DeciduousFoliage Color(s): Orange, YellowFoliage Description: VariegatedSeasonal Interest: Spring FloweringWatering: AverageResists: DeerTolerates: SaltAttracts: Bees, Birds, ButterfliesContainer Role: Uses: Borders, Hedges & Privacy, Mass Planting, Wildlife GardensFeatures: Attracts Pollinators, Foliage InterestBrand: First Editions PlantsCommon Name: Amber Jubilee™ NinebarkOther Name(s): Scientific Name: PHYSOCARPUS OP. `AMBER JUBILEE` | Bushes > Ninebark First Editions Plants 1005791-pc
