An excellent spreading groundcover featuring deep blue flower spikes and attractive contrasting bronze-tinged, green foliage. Forms a dense, carpet-like mat, even in shady areas! Tuck into rock walls or gardens, between stepping stones, or between shrubs in borders. An herbaceous perennial. Outstanding groundcover for shaded high profile locations where plants are viewed up close. Thrives under tree and shrub canopies along edges of shaded orders. Super for defining flagstone paths. Ideal for foliage contrast in containers, baskets and troughs. Thrives in organically rich, moist, well-drained soils. Best foliage color in sunnier exposures. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; once established, water as needed to maintain evenly moist soil. Apply a low-nitrogen fertilizer in late summer.
