Although it prefers shade, it will grow in full sun as well. It is non-flowering and at its most beautiful in spring when the fronds start to unfurl. Very low maintenance. Just take care at time of planting. It will multiply quickly by rhizomes to form colonies. Deer resistant. Excellent selection for wet areas along ponds, streams, water gardens or in bogs. Also grows well in shaded borders, woodland gardens, wild gardens or native plant gardens. Plant this perennial in a location with partial shade.
