The flowers have a satiny texture with a crepelike appearance and large, velvety black seed capsules surrounded by purple stamens. Plant poppies in groupings of three or five for a dramatic seasonal display in beds or borders. Each offer includes 3 dormant bare root plants. Group plants approximately 18 to 24 inches apart for best results. Flowers bloom between May and June. Reaches standard mature height of 28 to 30 inches tall. For best results, grow in well drained soil.
