After drilling 4 holes into your trailer's I-beam, use the included hardware to mount the posts on top of or below the trailer frame, as close to the rear corners as possible. Adjust the posts so that the distance between each post and your boat is less than 1 inch. Rustproof Aluminum Construction Aluminum offers excellent, long-term defense against rust and corrosion, making it great for saltwater applications. It is naturally rustproof, unlike steel, which must be treated with a rust-resistant coating that can break down over time.
