It produces lustrous green leaves with dark red flowers that boasts an extended flowering season from late June until August. Miss Frances displays a round, spreading growth habit with large flower heads near the tips of the branches. New growth starts off with a reddish/light green tint, and darkening as it ages. Miss Frances also displays a beautiful, maroon, foliage in the autumn. The mature bark of Miss Frances is a greyed-orange color. This plant is suitable as an ornamental flowering tree or can be mass planted for a flowering hedge. At maturity, it can reach a height of 15 feet and a width of 8 feet. It is Cold hardy in USDA Zones 7-9. This crape myrtle is shipped in a #1 pot with an average height of 12-18 inches.
