They get their round dark green foliage from their English Boxwood descent and their strength and cold resistance from their Korean background. The Green Velvet Boxwood's small dark green leaves and compact form make this perennial an ideal choice for a more formal garden presence. The plant's small nature and fine texture make it an excellent shrub for smaller landscape projects that may lack the space for larger hedges. Aside from their lustrous color and compact form, the Velvet Boxwoods are loved for their low-maintenance care regimen and extreme hardiness to strong winter winds.
