You can grow these types of banana trees in a large tub in bright, indirect light. Best in greenhouses and may not flower or fruit unless in a greenhouse environment. Make sure to keep the soil moist at all times for this mini banana tree, but do not allow it to stand in water. Dwarf banana trees require moist air and temperatures from 75 - 80 degrees F in the day and night temperature from 65 - 70 degrees F. A banana tree can self-fertilize all year but you can still add fertilizer and fertilize more heavily in Summer. These banana tree leaves can grow up to 4 feet long, but can scorch if the banana tree plant is in a draft or dry air.
