For a dazzling springtime display, sprinkle your garden with the broad diversity of exquisite colors in this single-flowering Helleborus Honeymoon® Mix. The plants in this series were selected for their strong garden performance and showy flowers, which range from deepest mahogany to cream with diversely patterned burgundy markings. Because we cannot guarantee the complete assortment of bloom colors in this seed mix, we offer the plants in multiples of 3 in order to help provide a sampling of the full color range. These aristocrats of the woodland garden are native to Europe and western Asia. The genus Helleborus contains about 20 species of perennials that bloom in early winter in mild climates and in late winter or early spring where the soil freezes hard, which makes them either the last or the first flowers in the garden. They require a moist but well-drained site with some shade. Take care to amend the soil with plenty of organic matter, such as well-aged leaf mold and compost.
