From Department 56 Modeled after the "Haunted Mansion" ride at Disneyland Lighted village accessory Light Cord with On/Off switch One of the most popular rides at Disneyland, the Haunted Mansion opened its doors in 1969. Fun fact, the Thomas family that owns ChristmasTraditions.com was one of the first to take the Haunted Mansion ride, but as luck would have it the ride broke on the opening "scene" where the elevator drops and the lightening flashes. We were stuck in that elevator for hours while they tried to figure out what was wrong! No worries though! We all escaped eventually and made our way into the "Doom Buggies" to finish the attraction and see all of the ghostly spooks that inhabited the mansion! The Department 56 building is modeled after the "Haunted Mansion" ride of Disneyland, this spooktacular piece is perfect for your haunted village display! With excellent attention to detail, it is hand painted and lighted. The Disneyland Haunted Mansion by Department 56 almost looks like the colonial style mansion itself was shrunk to scale to fit into your village! A perfect addition to the collection for Disneyland fans or Halloween fans alike! Comes with a light cord with an on/off switch.
