They often have flaws, wrinkles, and possibly even an odor from the storage. I do not wash them ahead of time, nor do I iron them (usually). I have washed some to experiment, and the smell does always come out. After careful inspection, if I find a flaw, I will do my best to bring it to your attention. Many pieces are new with their original tags. I try to offer a lower price than competitors due to the fact that I do not take the extra time to thoroughly wash and/or iron them.
