The laminated rubber wheel chock is designed to prevent your vehicle from slipping, sliding, rolling, or shifting, which could lead to vehicle damage, property damage, or injuries to personnel. The layered rubber surface securely grips to most surfaces in wet or dry conditions. An integrated handle makes the chock easy to carry. This wheel chock meets OSHA safety standards and is a valuable investment for anyone working around commercial vehicles. Improper use may result in product failure; Select wheel chock according to vehicle type and size; Always use in pairs and on firm surfaces; Chock in direction of grade; Chock both sides of wheel if direction of grade is undetermined; Use only after parking brake is applied and tested; Center chocks snugly and squarely against tread of each wheel; Always test chocks to insure they meet requirements; Do not drive over wheel chocks OSHA Safety Regulations Powered Industrial Trucks - 1910.178(k)(1) The brakes of highway trucks shall be set and wheel chocks placed under the rear wheels to prevent the trucks from rolling while they are boarded with powered industrial trucks. Powered Industrial Trucks - 1910.178(m)(7) Brakes shall be set and wheel blocks shall be in place to prevent movement of trucks, trailers, or railroad cars while loading or unloading. Fixed jacks may be necessary to support a semi trailer during loading or unloading when the trailer is not coupled to a tractor. The flooring of trucks, trailers, and railroad cars shall be checked for breaks and weakness before they are driven onto. Storing/Handling Anhydrous Ammonia - 1910.111(f)(9) Chock Blocks. At least two chock blocks shall be provided. These blocks shall be placed to prevent rolling of the vehicle whenever it is parked during loading and unloading operations.
