The Chapin Residential Salt / Ice Melt SureSpread Broadcast Spreader 80 lb.(8201A) is best known for snow and ice removal industries. It is utilized for pretreat and de-ice solutions, granular ice-melt and salt applications as well. The spreader features a 360 degree baffle system for an accurate control of the spread pattern. Its withstanding powder coated, stainless steel frame completely supports the hopper at its base. Other than that, the spreader is equipped with an application chart to dial in the appropriate application setting, bail gate control, edge control to manipulate product handling, enclosed acetal gears that secures the components from elements and allowing you to keep your spreader in top-notch action, and a grate or screen that equally distributes salt or ice melt materials for an utmost coverage and effectiveness. The 12 inch pneumatic tires offer great strength over unbalanced terrain. Comes with baffles, grate and cover. Model number has changed from 80088A to 8201A, product is still the same.

Jul 4, 2022The salt spreader is good, but the tires leak from the treads from day one. They are brand new with the little tabs still sticking out from the tires but they won't hold air. Very disappointing! Full review by walmart.com
