Generally it is a biennial or short lived perennial but it blooms easily in first year and is accordingly often grown as an annual. The plants grow usually to 70 cm tall. On stiff, upright, leafy stems appear in summer and autumn large daisy-like flowers to 15 cm in diameter, featuring golden yellow rays and unusual greenish centre disks. Great in border and as a fantastic cut flower. Freely self-seed and will usually remain in the garden through self-seeding. It grows well in any not too dry garden soil. -Height: 60- 80 cm; -Flowers: July- October; -Sow: any time indoors; just cover the seeds with soil; germination 10-21 days at 15- 20 C; can be sown in situ in spring; -Aftercare: full sun to part shade and well drained but not too dry soil; hardy to -20 C; -Packet contains: 60 seeds; Buy
