BLACK EYED SUSAN VINE Thunbergia Alata Flower Seeds. Slender, trailing black-eyed susan vines with dark, finely etched eyes peeking out of star-shaped 1" blooms in shades of orange/yellow. Hundreds of 1_" blooms. Naturally vining, perfect for hanging baskets, trellis or arbor. Sometimes these seed can be dormant which means some will need chilling to wake them out of dormancy so you may want to put them in your refrigerator for a week before planting. Others also soak them for 24 hours before planting to soften the outside of the seed. Those are just a couple ideas. You can find more info on growing either below or much more on google. Sowing: Direct sow in spring, planting just below the surface of the soil. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination. This plant can also be started indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost of spring. Growing: Water seedlings occasionally until they become established. Though they prefer rather moist soil, mature plants tolerate some drought. Watering in especially dry weather will increase blooming. This plant attracts bees and butterflies, and makes an excellent choice for covering trellises, fences
