2.5 qt. Ever Amethyst Agapanthus with Reblooming Purple Flower Clusters

Users say:
This plant has a variety of colors and is easy to grow. It is slow to grow, but the instructions are incorrect about sun or shade. The plant is smaller than depicted, but the customer service is great.

The Ever Amethyst Agapanthus is a popular new perennial from the Southern Living Plant Collection. It produces bright purple flower clusters that emerge in spring and rebloom into summer. Its early flowers and reblooming nature makes it one of the most prolific bloomers around. Additionally, this plant will expand into clumps of numerous plants. Each individual plant is then capable of producing its own flower stalks and these plant clumps can expand to 2 ft. W. So you can imagine the huge amount of flowers that they're capable of producing once they've achieved their mature width. Plant them in front of hedges, in foundation plantings, as accents in mixed garden beds or in container plantings. They're hardy from USDA Zones 8 to 11 and grow best from Full Sun to Partial Shade (we recommend 3-hours or more of direct sun). They prefer rich garden soil with good drainage and should be watered 3 to 4 times per week for the first growing season. Fertilize in early spring with a light application of balanced slow-release fertilizer. These Ever Amethyst Agapanthus plants are well-established in 2.5 qt. (#1) pots. They will tend to be 5 in. tall to 9 in. tall with a wider spread and they are not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
