In a suit filed Friday, Uber Technologies accused its food delivery rival DoorDash of anti-competitive business practices that cost Uber millions.

Uber says DoorDash is forcing restaurants to accept it as an exclusive partner for first-party deliveries or risk being demoted or removed from the app, hampering Uber Eats' potential growth.

DoorDash, along with delivery companies Grubhub and Uber Eats, previously sued New York City in 2023 over a rule setting minimum hourly pay floors for delivery drivers.

Gerald Lemanski became concerned when he found a bag on the doorstep of his Tempe home in July 2024. It led to his arrest.

Uber has sued DoorDash, accusing the online food delivery company of engaging in anti-competitive practices. Uber Eats and DoorDash both offer third-party and first-party food deliveries.
