The U.S. Supreme Court has acted in a series of cases involving challenges to executive orders signed by President Donald Trump and actions by his administration since he returned to office in January.

Next week, the Supreme Court will hold its biggest oral argument of the year so far. It will consider whether to maintain a series of nationwide injunctions that have prevented the administration from enforcing President Donald Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship.

Federal judges, cloaked in black robes and armed with injunctions, have become the bane of President Donald Trump ’s second term, much like they were for President Franklin D. Roosevelt nearly a century ago.
