President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told US leader Donald Trump that Ukraine is ready for direct talks with Russia if there is a ceasefire, reports Axios. According to two informed sources, the message was sent in today's phone call between Zelenskyy and European leaders with Trump.

"I will be waiting for Putin in Türkiye on Thursday. Personally," the Ukrainian leader says after Trump urged him to "have the meeting, now!"

The Ukrainian president said he would be waiting for Vladimir Putin at peace talks proposed by the Russian president in Istanbul.
