The 49ers are seeking NFL funds to upgrade Levi’s Statdium after its upcoming 10th season, ahead of hosting the 2026 World Cup and potentially future Super Bowls.

Part of the process for making those improvements involves getting a $120 million loan from the NFL’s stadium fund. That loan will be voted on Tuesday per ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. Wagoner also noted that 49ers CEO Jed York told reporters the improvements would take place over the next three years with hopes of having them finished in time for the 2026 World Cup and Super Bowl LX,
