Scottie Scheffler capped one of the best seasons in PGA Tour history Sunday, winning the 2024 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta to win his first FedEx Cup title and the $25 million prize.

ATLANTA – Football season begins in earnest tonight. And Scottie Scheffler has a touchdown lead in the Tour Championship. But the guy isn’t ready to spike the ball just yet.

Challenged briefly Sunday in the Tour Championship, Scottie Scheffler responded with three straight birdies to make winning look as inevitable as it has seemed all year.

It was 24 hours before the latest chapter in Scottie Scheffler’s legend. Following a third-round 66 and holding a five-shot lead heading into the final day of the Tour Championship, Scheffler was asked the type of question on Saturday that can expose all kinds of scar tissue.

With the win Sunday, Scheffler also finished off the season-long quest of winning the FedEx Cup. Per the PGA Tour on X (formerly Twitter), the former Texas Longhorn is the only player to win The Players Championship,
