The OpenAI drama is unfolding, yet we still don’t know why Sam Altman was fired. Reports say his other ChatGPT interests might be to blame.

H ealthy companies led by competent, commercially successful and globally beloved founders generally don’t tend to fire them. And, as Sam Altman walked on stage in San Francisco on Nov. 6, all those things could have described his role at OpenAI.

One senior OpenAI staffer told Semafor that while employees were "happy" Altman was back they were "still in the dark about a lot of things."

Sam Altman was fired from his position of OpenAI CEO last month. Even though he was reinstated, employees are still unaware behind the reason of his sudden exit.
