New Hampshire governor’s race is now the most competitive in the country. Here's how it could help Joyce Craig and Kelly Ayotte.

Both nominees have lost some popularity after the negativity of the primary, according to Saint Anselm pollsters.

Forty-seven percent of respondents said they would vote for Craig, the Democratic nominee, and 46% said they would vote for Ayotte, the Republican nominee. This is an even tighter margin than a recent poll from Saint Anselm,

The poll indicates that 78% of voters have already made their decisions for the upcoming general election in November.

These results come shortly after another poll showed Ayotte with a slim lead in the “very competitive” contest to succeed outgoing Governor Chris Sununu
