Mount Fuji has finally gotten its iconic snowcap, meteorologists in Japan said, more than a month later than it did last year and the latest in 130 years.

Visitors to Mount Fuji were in for a surprise this year, as Japan's highest peak remained snowless throughout October, and even into the start of November.
