Israeli attacks have killed at least 42 people across Gaza since dawn, medical sources told Al Jazeera, as the United Nations General Assembly prepares for a vote urging an unconditional ceasefire in the besieged enclave.

The Israeli military said its forces fired warning shots toward suspects who were advancing while posing a threat to the troops.

In central Gaza, the Al-Awda Hospital said 13 people were killed and 200 others injured by Israeli forces near an aid site in the Netzarim Corridor area. An Israeli airstrike also killed 12 people in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, a medical source at Nasser Medical Complex said.
