A bankruptcy judge scrutinizing The Onion’s bid for Alex Jones ’ Infowars platform was expected to hear a second day of testimony Tuesday after an auctioneer defended the satirical news outlet’s winning offer.

After criticizing aspects of the auction that saw the satirical media empire win control of the conspiracy theory web site, a federal bankruptcy judge declined to approve the sale.

Satirical news site The Onion was blocked by a U.S. judge from buying conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' website, InfoWars, as the bankruptcy auction did not receive the best possible bids, according to a Reuters report from Tuesday.
