The GameStop (NYSE:GME) board of directors approved a new investment policy on Wednesday that permits CEO Ryan Cohen and the management team to invest in equity securities, among other investments. The new policy will also allow Cohen to personally invest in the same securities as the company.

EARNINGS OUTLOOK GameStop Corp. announced last week that it will report third-quarter results after market close on Wednesday, sparking a “meme”-like rally in the videogame retailer’s stock this week.

It’s been a rough ride for shareholders since then. GameStop stock currently trades below $15 per share, leaving many investors underwater. Nevertheless, recent option buying suggests some think GameStop could be poised for another meme stock rally.

For the quarter ended in October, GameStop reported an adjusted loss of 1 cent a share; analysts polled by FactSet had forecast a loss of 8 cents a share. The company’s sales of $1.078 billion were below expectations for sales of $1.
