Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys has died at 82. One of the world’s most beloved and influential musicians, his family posted news of his death to his website Wednesday.

Brian Wilson, the influential pop musician who co-founded the the Beach Boys and wrote such hit songs as "Good Vibrations," "I Get Around," and "God Only Knows," has died at 82.
He was 82. In a post shared on Instagram, his family announced Wilson’s death. “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” they wrote.
