HOMECREST, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A three-car collision in Brooklyn early Sunday morning injured four people, including two NYPD officers. The crash happened just after 2 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue U and Coney Island Avenue.

A driver was in custody after the three-car collision, according to police. CBS News New York's Zinnia Maldonado reports.

While responding to the shooting, a police cruiser with two officers inside got involved in a multi-vehicle crash, according to Eastlake Police Chief Michael Werner. Five vehicles were involved in the wreck. Medics transported both officers and two civilians to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Chief Werner said.

A young woman is dead and six other people are in the hospital after a car crash in East Hampton on Sunday. It happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Old Stone Highway near Deep Six Drive. Police say that a Toyota Camry was driving southbound on the highway when it left the road,
