Sean McVay Has Message For Everyone About Matthew Stafford's Future
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has no interest in moving on from quarterback Matthew Stafford.A lot has been said about Stafford's future over the last couple of years but McVay wants him on the Rams for as long as he can play.“We were taking it a year at a time, but as long as he wants to play, we’re fortunate to have him as our quarterback," McVay said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk).Stafford was the Rams starting quarterback again in 2023 and had a great year, completing 62.6% of his passes for 3,965 yards through the air, 24 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. His play helped the Rams get into the playoffs before they lost to the Detroit Lions in the wild-card round.Stafford has battled injuries throughout his career but showed what he can do when he's mostly healthy, despite being 36 now. McVay is all in on Stafford and hopes he has plenty left in the tank as he heads into his fourth year with the Rams.
