Elon Musk has recently expanded access to the Grok chatbot on X. Previously it was only available to those on a Premium + account. Now anyone paying can talk to the AI.

X, the platform previously known as Twitter, has introduced a new feature powered by Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok. This feature, named Grok’s Stories, offers summarized versions of trending stories to Premium subscribers within the app’s Explore section.

This update caters to X’s Premium subscribers by offering summaries of trending stories. These summaries accompany the trending topics featured on the For You tab, which displays popular news and stories within a user's network and other recommendations.

Drawing parallels to the now-defunct Twitter Moments, the introduction of “Stories on X” signifies a shift towards AI-driven content curation. While Moments relied on human curation, Grok leverages sophisticated AI algorithms to aggregate and distill information from user-generated content.

X is using Grok to publish AI-generated summaries of news and other topics that trend on the platform. The feature, which is currently only available to premium subscribers, is called “Stories on X,” according to a post from the company’s engineering account.

The feature is called ‘Stories’ and will generate summaries based on user tweets and not traditional news articles.

X has acknowledged the need for improvement in the accuracy of ‘Stories’ summaries, particularly in terms of citations. According to reports from Bloomberg, some summaries generated by Grok lack proper citations,
