Cuba apologized to Canada on Wednesday after authorities accidentally delivered the remains of another man to a Canadian family grieving the loss of a loved one who died while vacationing on the Caribbean island in March.

Faraj Jarjour died from an apparent heart attack while on vacation with his family in Varadero, Cuba on 22 March. One month later, his children say they have yet to receive Mr Jarjour's body back for burial. They say they were sent the body of a different man instead, and that their father's remains are still missing.

Meriam Jarjour says she's shocked, exhausted and devastated. Several weeks after her father died of a heart attack while swimming at a beach on vacation in Cuba, his body was supposed to have been repatriated by a company hired by the Canadian consulate.
