Fashanu is near the top of a tackle-rich draft class. Notre Dame’s Joe Alt is a widely projected pick to land with the Tennessee Titans at No. 7 overall. After that, the next drafted tackle will likely be Fashanu, Alabama’s J.C. Latham or Oregon State’s Taliese Fuaga.

The 21-year old doesn’t have as much experience as some of the other prospects in this class, but his combination of size, athleticism, and competitive toughness has allowed him to thrive. He hasn’t allowed a single sack, and only allowed a single hit, in 733 pass blocking snaps.

Offensive tackle Olu Fashanu remains Penn State’s top draft prospect, and PFF has him ranked in the top 20 overall. Fashanu is ranked no. 17 in the PFF player rankings, but he is not the top offensive tackle on the board according to the rankings. Fashanu is the fourth offensive tackle on PFF’s big board.
