A large 3.5 display with nearly 180 degree of viewing angles and a space saving shallow design make this perfect for mounting in an electronics box or right on your boats console in direct sunlight. Icom built the M510 with 25w of power, built-in GPS with wireless capabilities, and an easy-to-use interface making this radio easy for you to command and be in control from up to 3 smart devices utilizing the RS-M500 app (iOS and Android device and App download required). Use of this app will allow you to use the push-to-talk features, scroll/scan channels, as well as use the Icoms intercom function from virtually anywhere on board. In addition to the ability to use up to 3 smart devices, you can connect one CommandMic as well for a full spread of communication connections. A built-in AIS receiver monitors the position of other AIS-equipped vessels, helping you to proactively avoid collisions in crowded harbors and waterways. Receive data from other vessels around you that are transmitting their AIS information and display them as targets directly on your M510 display. This will aid in navigational safety while on the water and is designed to be an added piece of mind to boaters each time their boat enters the water. An optional CT-M500 wireless interface module with NMEA 2000 connectivity is the perfect addition to your Icom M510 radio if your NMEA 2000 network is in a different part of the vessel. This provides optimal flexibility for mounting and with the addition of the optional SP-37 horn speaker allows the CT-M500 to access the two-way hailer/PA functions of the M510. Built-in WLAN functionality through the Icom M510 will allow a wireless access point to act as your source of WiFi connectivity to allow the M510 VHF radio to communicate with the CT-M500 flawlessly if you choose not to utilize connectivity via a smart device.
