Rheem Commercial point-of-use (POU) water heaters are well-suited for a wide variety of applications. They are ideally suited for installation in retail stores public restrooms rehab centers office washrooms kitchen and mop or bar sinks. POU water heaters are small enough to fit in limited spaces under counters mop sinks cabinets or any remote area where modest quantities of hot water are required. Since "point-of-use" water heaters are installed very near the location where hot water is used less heat is lost between the tank and the tap. In instances where a centralized water heater is located a long distance from the hot water tap a commercial point-of-use model installed near the tap is often used to boost the water temperature and reduce wait times for hot water. Installation and maintenance are simplified with side water connects and power connections located and accessible from the front. Long life heating elements: patented resistor elements designed with a specially treated double layer of magnesium oxide and copper to resist corrosion Proprietary steel formulation with a unique coat of high temperature porcelain enamel maximizes corrosion resistance Rigid polyurethane foam insulation provides superior insulating qualities resulting in reduced operating costs Premium grade anode rod provides advanced technology and equalizes aggressive water action Surface mounted thermostat automatically cycles on and off to maintain the water temperature at a desired preset level Temperature limiting control automatically and safely cuts off the power in the unlikely event that the water temperature exceeds 190 degree F Certified for 150 psi maximum working pressure All models are single phase Factory installed temperature and pressure relief valve 2-1/2 Gal. model comes standard with wall mounting kit Proposition 65 Information WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
