This is our most accurate reproduction of the 24-hour clock that was originally designed for U.S. Navy vessels during World War II - and is still used on many ships today. The only difference is that we use a modern quartz movement instead of the classic mechanical movement, which makes maintenance and adjustments easier. Everything about this patriotic clock, from the heat-resistant phenolic resin case to the 24-hour military-format dial, is exactly as it was when the Allies went into battle. It has hour, minute and second hands with a clear glass lens for easy viewing. To adjust the time, simply undo the brass screw-bolt lock and open the hinged bezel. Each Patriot 24-hour Clock has a unique hand-applied serial number. It's a fascinating window into Chelsea Clock history that will be a focal point of any space.
