In containers, pair it with annuals around the base of the vine to keep the roots shaded and the display interesting when the clematis isn't blooming. Include an obelisk or trellis for the vines to climb up and you'll have a gorgeous multi-level container garden. We also love Tranquilite cascading over the side of a window box or crawling through a perennial bed.
