It contains 22 species, mainly native to North America, one species native to eastern Asia. Agastache is a low-maintenance herbaceous perennial that produces tubular flowers that come in a wide range of colors, from white to purple, that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. This member of the mint family also produces fragrant foliage that can be used to make tea, potpourris, or for other culinary uses. --Agastache Morello Morello has large flower spikes and a strong upright habit. This variety also offers mildew resistance and darkened foliage in cooler temperatures. Morello has an upright clumping habit of 27-30" tall and 24" wide. Mint-flavored foliage makes excellent tea, and fragrant burgundy flower spikes bloom from May through September. Morello brings a striking pop of long-lasting perennial color to containers, borders, and landscape beds.
