Baby Impatiens walleriana are great shade flowers. They are annuals for Zones 3 - 10. Pinch back any spent blooms to encourage a continued display of color. With a temperature of 72 - 76F, germination is usually within 10 days. Transplant the young plants outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Space the plants 8 - 12 inches apart. Grow in partial shade to full shade and in moist, well-drained soil. Impatiens walleriana are sweet little annuals that offer lots of color for the shady areas of the landscape.
