This unit is Leak Shieldโข shut off valve capable (valve available for purchase separately). It is designed for households with 3 to 4 people when sized appropriately. A. O. Smith's 50-gallon model has dual copper heating elements and a protective anode rod. This model also has Tank Guardโข advanced tank protection extending the life of your water heater. It features a self-cleaning dip tube designed to reduce sediment build-up and extend the overall life of the water heater.
