Two Philadelphia police officers are in the hospital after being shot early Sunday morning in the Holmesburg section of the city.

S ix people were shot, two of whom died, in Philadelphia on Tuesday. Police told Fox 29 News Philadelphia that three long guns were found in the street with “lots of casings in [the] street.” Multiple suspected shooters were believed to be barricaded in a building around 9:30 p.m.

A 22-year-old man was shot multiple times, including in his head, and killed in North Philadelphia on Thursday night, police said.

A police pursuit of a suspected gunman ended in a shootout that left two officers and a suspect wounded, police said. The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday, interim city Police Commissioner John Stanford said,
